Find Out How This Personal Trainer Used PTminder To Streamline His Business & Open His Own Studio

After leaving it too late to become a professional ice-hockey player, Jan Hutnan decided to dedicate his life to helping people stay healthy and age successfully through personal training. 10 years on and Jan now spends his day’s running his own studio (EvoPrime Fitness) in the stunning Whitsundays. He also runs his other business Healthy Before Fit, faculty of the Institute of Motion, ViPR Global Educator and guest speaker.

We interviewed Jan to give you an insight into how he uses PTminder to manage and grow his business...

Why did you start using PTminder?

At EvoPrime Fitness we were looking for affordable, easy to use but also sophisticated booking software. After some research I contacted the team at PTminder and gave it a go. I never stopped using it. I love the software, but mostly I love the team’s passion, dedication and brilliant communication.

What are your favourite PTminder features?

This will sound like a cliche but I do like everything about it. It’s comprehensive, easy to manipulate and fast.

Does PTminder make your life easier on a daily basis?

Absolutely. Being a “helper” and educator for coaches I can hear how trainers don’t want to invest into the software. They have no idea how great software can make their life easier. It can literally save hours and lots of headaches. On top of that it’s professional and creates credibility between coach and client.

Has PTminder contributed to your success?

PTminder manages all of my bookings, invoicing, templates, services, clients details, finances, reports, website integrations, notifications for members and payments all in one place. So I would say this is the biggest contribution.

What would you say to anyone considering signing up for PTminder?

Don’t consider, just do it. There is no software like this for such an affordable price and with such amazing customer service.

What advice would you give someone who wants to grow their personal training business?

Firstly, get a personal trainer for yourself. I am serious. You need to walk the talk. It’s hard to look after yourself when you’re so busy, but feeling and looking fit are crucial to your own credibility. Secondly, use software such as PTminder and nominate someone to look after it if you can’t. You can’t do everything. Have a USP and don’t try to be everywhere, keep focus.
